Indian Astronaut Returns from ISS Mission

Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian to visit the International Space Station (ISS), is returning to Earth. He was part of the Axiom-4 (Ax-4) mission, a private commercial flight operated by Axiom Space in collaboration with NASA, ISRO, ESA, and SpaceX. The Ax-4 mission, which also included astronauts from Poland and Hungary, launched on June 26th and docked at the ISS. Shukla's journey marks only the second time an Indian has traveled to space, 41 years after Rakesh Sharma's 1984 mission. The Ax-4 crew undocked from the ISS on Monday and is expected to splash down within 24 hours.
