SpaceX to Invest $2 Billion in xAI

According to a Wall Street Journal report, SpaceX, Elon Musk's space exploration company, is poised to invest $2 billion in xAI, Musk's artificial intelligence startup. This investment represents a significant portion of xAI's planned $5 billion equity raise (with an additional $5 billion in debt financing) facilitated by Morgan Stanley. This would mark SpaceX's first investment in xAI and one of its largest investments in any external company. The report indicates that SpaceX already utilizes xAI's chatbot, Grok, for Starlink customer service, hinting at a growing synergistic relationship between the two companies. Musk's history of cross-company collaboration, such as merging xAI with X (formerly Twitter), further supports this trend.
