Border Clash Erupts Between Thai and Cambodian Troops

Thai and Cambodian troops exchanged fire at a disputed border area near the Ta Muen Thom temple. Both nations accused the other of initiating the hostilities. The Thai military reported that Cambodian soldiers fired first, resulting in two Thai soldiers being injured, and stated that Cambodia had deployed troops after sending a surveillance drone. Cambodia's defense ministry countered that its forces were acting in self-defense against Thai aggression, alleging that Thai troops fired first and violated Cambodian territory, leading to shelling of Cambodian provinces.
